Breakfast-and-education

Security 101 Salt Lake hosted an educational breakfast on September 5th for local nonprofits. At the breakfast, the team presented concepts for how to assess vulnerabilities and security risks and shared 10 top tips for how to protect facilities from a security breach for FREE! We also managed to have a few laughs watching clips of some “not so smart” criminals being caught on video.

Laurel Ingham, Security 101’s Nonprofit Services Manager, introduced the launch of Security 101’s 2nd Annual Gift of Security Program for 2013. This year the final vote for the winning nonprofit will be done through an email and social media campaign for public input.

The Security 101 team has developed a special Security Solution Program (SSP) crafted specifically for nonprofit organizations. Partnering with community leaders, staff, funders, and manufacturers for everyone to do their part to assist in implementing quality security systems to reduce crime at nonprofit facilities.

When asked why this program is so important, local owner Nancy Ford replied, “The staff members at our local nonprofits are the silent heroes in our community; they provide a platform for the rest of us to serve and give back. I believe corporate citizens should “pay it forward” in a way that makes a difference”.
