It is that time of year again when millions of students walk across the stage into their next chapter in life, graduation season.
Students of all ages are graduating in the next few weeks and many schools are increasing security for their graduation ceremonies. High school and college graduations generally average at least 4 additional people per graduate and considering the average size of graduating classes, that leaves at least a thousand + at graduation ceremonies.
Taking recent events into consideration some schools have moved from traditionally holding their commencement ceremonies outside to having them inside hoping to eliminate risks of any safety disturbances. Other schools are adding bag and purse restrictions, allowing attendees only to bring small bags and purses inside, as well as asking them to leave gifts at home. Graduations are supposed to be a time of celebration; do you feel that these new restrictions are putting a damper on such a memorable occasion?
