According to a new IMS Research report, shipments of analog security cameras for consumers in the U.S. will top 3 Million by year's end.
The report shows "The Americas region is the largest and most mature regional market for consumer and DIY video surveillance equipment." Stated IMS Research Analyst Josh Woodhouse. "The increased growth of analog camera shipments coupled with the decline in analog unit shipments in the professional market means we are for the first time approaching a tipping point."
The study points out the consumer market remains only a fraction of the professional market in terms of revenues, yet the high volumes of analog security cameras shipped could extend the overall lifespan of analog security cameras and their components in the Americas market.
