Security 101 – Columbus is now recruiting for an Branch Manager who plans, organizes, directs, and controls all installation and service activities within the company. Responsible for quality of installations, project costs (including field labor, design and project engineering, material, and subcontracts), and other cost applicable to systems operations. Responsibilities also include training and developing operations personnel.
Salary:
This is a full-time exempt position with an annual salary range from $90,000 to $110,00 and is eligible for our bonus program. The salary is commensurate with skills, product knowledge, and experience.

The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based on the department size and/or geographic location.
Knowledge:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the design and installation of commercial electronic security systems.
- Strong understanding of engineering and systems start-up functions.
- An understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these to cost containment in managing projects.
Skills/Abilities:
As part of this role, you will: oversee full-cycle employee management, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training; assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide ongoing coaching/feedback; conduct performance evaluations and implement recognition or corrective actions as needed; resolve team conflicts and address employee concerns promptly and fairly. All supervisory duties will align with Security 101 policies and federal/state employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.).Responsibilities:
Manages installations and service activities of electronic security systems. Responsible for cost and quality control of operations activities.
- Overall department planning for each contract installation in advance, including re-estimates; manpower requirements; job progress schedule, and scheduling of materials and equipment to a job site.
- Formulates, recommends and implements functional policies and procedures related to systems engineering and installations.
- Develop and monitor methods to improve quality and reduce costs of installation and engineering.
- Promotes safety in connection with installations, and acts as a safety officer.
- Oversees supervision, through Project Managers, of all installation work and personnel, on job progress, so that schedules are maintained, and projects proceed in accordance with plans and job specifications.
- Assures that all completed jobs meet customer requirements in accordance with job specifications and local codes.
- Ensure that no work is performed out of scope, and that change orders are accurately priced and authorized prior to change order work being executed.
Implements office management procedures/programs to improve quality and enhance the office working environment.
- Develop and implement a quality service program to improve customer satisfaction.
- Justifies the acquisition of new employees.
- Conducts regular employee performance evaluations and salary planning.
- Establishes goals for department personnel; updates and monitors them on a regular basis.
- Provides counseling and guidance for subordinates to ensure that their goals and objectives are met.
- Establishes written procedures and policies.
- Keeps currently informed on company products and policies; disseminates appropriate information in a timely manner to department personnel.
Monitors job costs and company operating expenses and prepares/disseminates job progress reports.
- Utilizes available management financial reports to monitor and control (in accordance with approved profit plan) the Operations Department performance in the following categories: direct job costs, operating expenses, indirect job costs, and warranty expenses.
- Develop periodic forecasts for systems revenue and gross margin and maintain a strategy for profitable execution of backlog.
- Provides input for the development of profit plan for systems business revenue and gross margin, and contributes to plan for corporate overhead expenses, interest costs, and pretax profit.
Education:
- PMP or CSPM certification is a plus.
- Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred).
