Anthony has worked in the commercial sector of the electronic security industry since 1996. Before that he proudly served in the United States Military. He began his military career in 1979 when he volunteered for the Air Force Reserve. In 1981 he went on to join the United States Navy. There he quickly rose through the ranks to ultimately retire as a Chief Petty Officer in 1996. Immediately after he retired he went on to join forces with a local start-up System’s Integrator in New Jersey. In his 11 year tenure he work his way up to become Vice President of Operations. In October of 2007 he decided to join forces with his business partner Rob Ryan and launched Security 101 NY/NJ.

With over two decades of experience in the electrical and information technology sectors, Chris Tilas’s aptitude for logistical and strategic problem-solving has brought him great success in the security integration industry. Upon returning from service with the United States Marine Corps, Chris’s career steadily climbed through several leadership roles, including: a key partnership role with a commercial electrical contractor; project and operations management for commercial and industrial electrical contractors; security integration project management and leadership for various Fortune 500 companies; strategic IT consulting for top financial firms. These varying roles have been applicable in multiple verticals, spanning critical infrastructure, financial institutions, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, government, commercial real estate .and education.
