This was a great post from an article originally written up in the NY Times about entrepreneurs and what it takes to be successful. The writer gives his opinion on a NY Times article about the correlation between SAT scores and how they are not a predictor of college success...or entrepreneurial success.
The writer, Jay Goltz, has been in business for 30 years and owns 5 companies in Chicago. In his 30 years in the real world, he has "never seen a relationship between being a good student and being a successful entrepreneur." He thinks successful entrepreneurs will likely have the following six attributes and might not know it until they take the leap:
- Ambition
- Creativity
- Tenacity
- Risk tolerance
- Intuition
- Personality
