The International Franchise Association (IFA) reported after 3 consecutive years of decline within the franchise industry, things are on an upward swing. Mark Siebert, CEO of iFranchise Group discussed the advantages of franchising. These include a proven system, with a well-known name, training & support, and buying powers. The downside is that you follow someone else's rules, as well as paying fees and royalties to the franchisor.
Siebert states the industry seems to be thriving in a post-recession environment. Interest rates are at historic lows, and there is plenty of real estate available, along with many folks looking for work.
